WWE Diva Reveals Why She's Been Off Of TV For Months, Talks About Return

WWE Diva Natalya disappeared from WWE TV inexplicably in early November in the middle of a growing storyline with Team BAD members Sasha Banks, Tamina and Naomi. She'd not appeared on television since, and no reason was given. After her return tonight, Natalya shed some light on the situation.

As is turns out, Natalya had been battling an undisclosed injury that kept her sidelined for two months. Natalya noted on an Instagram post that this was the first serious injury she's experienced in her 11-year pro wrestling career.

Despite being in a feud with Naomi at the time, Natalya's last match saw her team up with Naomi in the UK to take on Becky Lynch and Bayley on November 11. Prior to tonight's NXT Kids taping in Florida, that was her last appearance in the ring.

Natalya mentioned that she's been going through physical therapy for the past 8 weeks in order to get ready to return to the ring. No word when or if she'll start traveling with the main roster again. Natalya also talked about how much it hurt her to not be a part of the Divas Revolution storyline this summer.

Thank you @wwebeckylynch! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect opponent for my first match back in over two months. Magic! I have debated with myself every day about explaining why I was suddenly "gone" after the last match I had in November. It was the first injury I've had that has taken me away from wrestling in over 11 years. I was so disappointed. For the last 8 weeks I have been in intense physical therapy. I've been focused on coming back and being stronger than ever. I fought hard to come back. I hated missing this past summer of the Diva's Revolution. I wanted so much to be a part of it because I love wrestling! Not just because I was born into it, WRESTLING is a part of my heart. When I finally came back at the end of September, I was incredibly grateful and happy! I missed the girls, the ring and all of you. Then to get hurt, I felt like a failure. NOW I am better. I am stronger. I am ready. I'm not ashamed of my injury at all. Setbacks happen. And EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Sometimes when it rains it pours but there's nothing YOU can't get through. When you fall down, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going. Everyone has a comeback in them. ...See you soon??
