Dean Ambrose Talks Comparisons To WWE Legends And More On ESPN, Coach's Top RAW Moments
Above is video from this week's ESPN SportsCenter "Off The Top Rope" segment with Jonathan Coachman looking at the first WWE RAW of 2016. Coach named the top moments for this week – Top Promo was by Heath Slater's Social Outcasts, Top Return was Chris Jericho interrupting The New Day, Top Moment was Vince McMahon being the special referee for the main event and taking a Superman punch from Roman Reigns, and the Top Match was Kevin Owens defeating Neville.
In the video below, Coach is joined by WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. Coach asked if Ambrose thinks about what he's doing as far as his body is concerned and Ambrose said he doesn't worry about stuff like that too much, his body feels great and his body holds up great. Coach brought up the comparisons to Roddy Piper and Steve Austin, and asked which comparison he likes the best. Ambrose said he's a lifelong fan of the entire business and considers himself a historian. Ambrose said he gets comparisons to a lot of stars because he's spent so much time studying the greats of the industry. Coach also asked how the success of The Shield prepared Ambrose for where he's at now. Ambrose said you couldn't ask for a better start. The Shield said they were going to take over the industry and he thinks they did. He believes they have proven themselves as the workhorses of the industry. Ambrose talks more about breaking out on his own and being a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Coach gave some plugs to WrestleMania 32 and that was it for this week's segment.
