Jon Jones Says Ronda Rousey And Conor McGregor Reached Out To Help Him, Dana White, More

Jon Jones has developed into one of the most polarizing characters in sports. After a DUI, a failed drug test for cocaine, and a hit-and-run incident that cost him his UFC title, and other questionable acts. However, Jones said not everyone turned on him.

During his first interview since his arrest, Jones told MMA Fighting that both Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor reached out to him in an effort to help him out of the hole he was in. He also said that Rousey went above and beyond, offering to let him stay at her secluded beach house.

"Ronda has been very supportive of me. She texted me quite a few times. She even invited me to come and stay at her beach house in California. She said 'Jon, you're going to come back from this. If there's anything I can do for you, let me know. If you want to get away I've got a house here that not many people know where it's at and it's your house until you get right.' Stuff like that, it's like man?this girl is on top of the world right now and she's sitting here thinking of me at my darkest hour. That's something I'll never forget," Jones said.

Jones said during the interview that he always questioned who was being genuine, noting that while he thought that Lorenzo Fertitta was, but he didn't feel that UFC President Dana White could take off his businessman hat. Jones said that current interim Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor wrote him and gave Jones encouragement.

"Conor McGregor wrote me, he said 'Hey champ, you know that once a champ, always a champ and I believe you're going to come back from this strong'", said Jones.
