NXT Takeover Live Report: Fans Escorted Out; What Was The Crowd Chanting During Main Event?

Several readers have asked what occurred in the crowd during last night's NXT Takeover main event between NXT Champion Finn Balor and Kevin Owens. The fans were very obviously distracted by something happening off-screen, and several seemingly random chants broke out before the match actually began.

The following is an account of the incident submitted by one of our readers in attendance:

"Hey guys, I was at tonight's NXT PPV and I've seen a lot of people on Twitter asking about the weird chants and distractions during the Owens/Balor ladder match. What happened was, during the official ring introduction, a couple of fans tried and failed to throw streamers into the ring, about three or four times. I don't know if you could see it on TV, but they missed and it was pretty funny. The first, slightly quieter chant was "you can't throw" directed at them, then when security escorted them out you probably heard the much louder "let them stay". A few minutes later, they came back and that's when the big "YES!" chant broke out. On one hand, it kinda sucks because I felt bad that fans were taking away from the main event match about to go down, but it's Brooklyn and we were all just having a little fun with a couple of dumb fans who couldn't properly throw streamers. Hope this helps!"
