"I just think it's sad – I think it's sad," Taz said. "I think it is sad especially for folks that he offended heavily, namely anyone that was a fan of his that maybe is African American or wrestlers that are African American."

Additionally, Taz stated that Hogan's racial comments are bad for the wrestling business as a whole.

"I think it is a black eye on the wrestling business, just because Hulk Hogan was such a powerful, powerful force in the business and mainstream entertainment. People, everyone knows Hulk Hogan, so I think that hurts the business a little bit."

Taz called Hogan's racial comments "a big mistake" and questioned whether Hogan could come back from the negative press.

"I just think Hulk Hogan's done, done," Taz stated. "Sad way to go out – sad way to go down," he added, "I just think the whole situation sucks and there is a part of me that wants to keep saying I feel bad for Hulk, but how do you feel bad? I mean, he said this. You can hear it on tape. It's like, how do you feel bad for the guy? You can't! He said it. It was years ago and he [has] changed, I guess, and whatever, but it doesn't matter. It's reprehensible comments and it's just not cool."

In response to individuals defending Hogan by claiming that his comments were meant to be private, Taz replied, "it doesn't matter."

"He said it. It was a private conversation. You would think that is a private conversation stays private, but his feelings kind of came out while his privacy was invaded. I mean, that's kind of what happened here."
