UFC Fighter Talks About How It Felt To Make His Pro Wrestling Debut Last Week

At Bleacher Report, Jonathan Snowden has an article about UFC middleweight and The Ultimate Fighter Nations winner Elias Theodoru about his entrance into professional wrestling. Theodoru made his pro wrestling debut as Greece Lightning at the July 18th SUPERKICK'D King of the 6ix event in Toronto, Ontario.

Theodoru shows a lot of respect for both the skill of pro wrestlers and the danger of the performance. "I thought I'd have some fun, and that's what the night was about," he told Snowden. "I'm a professional athlete and really didn't want to get hurt. The last thing I want to do is have to tell anyone at the UFC 'Yeah, I'd love to fight but I broke my ankle doing pro wrestling.'"

While the romance novel cover model turned fighter turned wrestler didn't undergo extensive training, he seems happy with his crash course. "I did my due diligence. I don't half ass anything, spent a couple days a week for a month in training with Superkick'd. A great group of guys who really took care of me."

Make sure to read Snowden's excellent article for Theodoru's thoughts on his debut, his respect for his opponent, and more.
