- As noted, Taryn Terrell and Awesome Kong denied that they were leaving TNA after reports surfaced that their contracts had expired and that tonight's Slammiversary pay-per-view would likely be their final show with the company. TNA executive Bob Ryder noted on Twitter that Kong is under contract through December, while Taryn is contracted until March.

- While tweeting during Slammiversary tonight, TNA President Dixie Carter was asked about the "major stars" leaving the company, to which she replied, "they are not leaving. Will still be working for us." She also said that both James Storm and Magnus are scheduled for next month's Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando.
