Big Show Explains Why He And Booker T Almost Fought, Who He Thinks Would Have Won

We noted yesterday that Big Show mentioned on Chris Jericho's Talk is Jericho podcast, that he asked Floyd Mayweather to break his nose. Show went on to drop several rare stories, including one of him and Booker T almost coming to blows.

"I remember a big (verbal) fight I got into with Booker at the training school," Show said. "Booker and I are great friends, and I love Booker and respect him. He's a great teacher and was a great wrestler, and one of the few people I actually look forward to seeing every week."

Show then explained why he and Booker had it out, saying that Booker was giving him a tough time early on in his WCW career.

"Booker used to talk a lot of trash back in the day," Show said, which Jericho immediately agreed with. "He came down to the Power Plant to pick up his check, and was hazing me a little bit (saying) I got a contract because I was big. I took exception to that, I was busting my ass and we almost got into a scuffle. Looking back now, that's just Booker."

Show said that despite the exchange, the two didn't actually fight, and says it's probably a good thing he didn't fight Booker.

"It got pretty heated. It's probably a good thing, because most people might not know Booker's a bad ass. It probably wouldn't have turned out that well for me," Show said. He later said that fighting the boys backstage isn't something he looks to do.
