Goldberg Talks Wrestling Again, If He Would Start His Own Promotion, His Scott Steiner Promo, More

I spoke with former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg last week. During the interview, which will be posted in its entirety this week, Goldberg addressed the recent comments he made to FOX Sports at the NASCAR Sprint Cup race last month where he said that he would wrestle again, but not for WWE.

Goldberg, who hasn't wrestled since he defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX in 2004, admitted that he was open to a pro wrestling return, and talked about what it would take for him to wrestle again.

"A hell of a lot of money," Goldberg said. "One hell of a sit-down meeting with me about the complete details of how they plan on doing it. With the option on the table of me doing it myself, that's pretty nice."

Goldberg also noted that he would consider running a wrestling show for his in-ring return, but he has no intention of starting his own promotion.

"I would never run a promotion in this business, no," Goldberg stated. "It'd be a one-time card, a special event."

Goldberg will be one of several legends appearing at next Sunday's Legends of Wrestling event at Citi Field in Queens, NY, which is being organized by Louis "Uncle Louie" Gregory. Other legends scheduled to appear include Bret Hart, Ric Flair, The Nasty Boys and Scott Steiner. Goldberg released the promo above last week telling Steiner know that if he has anything to say, that he'll "save a seat" for Steiner right next to him.

"He [Steiner] said some stuff about me, typical stuff, promos," Goldberg said of Steiner. "Trying to goad me into this and that. Like I said, if he has anything to say, I'll save a seat for him right next to me."

Despite a possible confrontation with Steiner at the Legends of Wrestling show next Sunday, Goldberg admitted to being a big fan of his and said that he would be open to wrestling him again.

"I loved working with him, he's awesome," Goldberg admitted. "I love everything he does with the Big Poppa Pump deal, it's great."
