Chael Sonnen Says Sports Entertainment Had Taken Over, Professional Wrestling Is Coming Back

Global Force Wrestling is still without a television deal that we know of, but that hasn't stopped them from promoting their upcoming product, largely on the back of recently announced commentator Chael Sonnen. The former UFC title challengers has had a video series released throughout this week on the company's official channel.

Sonnen spoke to Global Force Wrestling cameras about being excited about the show, and said fans should be too. At least judging by Sonnen's comments, it appears the product will be a family-friendly endeavor.

"Fans should be excited for anything that's wrestling. Wrestling is just a lot of fun. If you want to build memories with families, take your kids out to a wrestling event. If you want to have a good time with your buddies, throw them in the car and come down to a wrestling event," said Sonnen.

Although they may deliver a family-friendly show like their WWE counterpart, Sonnen was adamant in saying that Global Force Wrestling would be more professional wrestling based than sports entertainment.

"Sports entertainment has really taken over the landscape for at least the last decade. Professional wrestling the way it was meant to be is coming back. That will be a distinguishing sign of this organization," said Sonnen.
