The Rock Says He'll Be Back For Major Blockbuster

The Rock confirmed in an interview with Collider that he'll be back for Furious 8. His character, Hobbes, has become an integral part of the blockbuster series, starting with the sixth installment of the franchise.

"Of course. It can't go on without Hobbes," The Rock said about his continued participation in the series. There were also rumors that he would get his own spin-off, but those plans have yet to materialize.

"We all are interested in it," explained The Rock. "I just had a big conversation with the studio. So we'll see. I still think for me personally we've created a little bit of space for him in 7 and the gauge is set for what the audience will want. That's my take on it, you know, but a lot of other people have to have input."

Furious 8 will be in theaters on April 14, 2017. To date, Furious 7 has reached almost $1.5 billion in worldwide box office.
