Lucha Underground Results (5/6): Johnny Mundo Vs. Alberto El Patron, Prince Puma In Action, More
Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of Lucha Underground! Tonight we'll see a huge main event, with Johnny Mundo vs. Alberto El Patron.
Son of Havoc & Angelico (w/ Ivelisse) vs. The Crew
Havoc and Angelico dominate early as they tease dissent. Cisco comes in and threatens briefly, getting knees up on a Havoc standing moonsault. Angelico and Cortez get tags, and Angelico runs wild.
Angelico counters a sunset flip with a double stomp for two, and both of the babyfaces hit big dives to the outside as Ivelisse shouts from the outside. Havoc makes a blind tag and lands a body press on both opponents. Bael interferes and sets up the flapjack/codebreaker for the win.
Winner: The Crew via pinfall (flapjack/codebreaker)
- Daivari is in Cueto's office texting on his phone. Cueto doesn't look happy with him.
- Puma, Hernandez, Konnan and Cueto are in the back. Cueto books Puma and Hernandez against Cuerno & Cage.
Delavar Daivari vs. Texano Jr
Texano jumps Davairi, who came to the ring drinking. Texano is DQ'd early for using the rope, but both men continue brawling.
Winner: Delavar Daivari via DQ
We cut to the ring for the tag team match already. This might be a good one.
Hernandez & Prince Puma (w/ Konnan) vs. Cage & King Cuerno
Hernandez tosses Cage around to start, then reluctantly tags Prince Puma, who dominates until Cuerno lifts his knees on a standing star press attempt. Cage hammers Puma to the mat before landing a squatting Jackhammer.
Puma fights back and takes out both heels, then tags Hernandez who does the same. Hernandez comes over the top with a big dive, and steps in front of Puma as he tries to land one of his own. Cuerno kicks out at two inside the ring.
Hernandez keeps Puma from hitting a splash in the corner so he can do one first, before they work together. Hernandez is knocked outside, but Hernandez pulls Puma in front of a diving Cuerno to save himself.
Konnan is talking trash to Cage as Hernandez kicks Puma in the face, turning on him. He Border Tosses Puma into the apron and tosses him back in the ring. Weapon X from Cage gets the pin.
Winners: Cage & King Cuerno via pinfall (Weapon X)
- Black Lotus is shown training.
Alberto El Patron vs. Johnny Mundo
El Patron is over huge. The two trade holds early on, but reach a stalemate. Patron is using some dirty tactics, but the crowd still loves him. Mundo clotheslines AEP off of a missed moonsault and sets up a springboard kick for two.
Mundo is knocked outside and AEP follows him with a huge suicide dive onto the stairs and guardrail and everything else in sight. The two trade punches in the ring until Patron hits a clothesline and tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Mundo sends AEP outside this time and hits a dive. He tosses Patron into every guardrail in the arena, but when he gets back in the ring, eats a top rope reverse superplex for two.
Patron calls for the armbar, but a huge series of reversals result in nearfalls. Mundo connects with his big knee and Starshi Pain, but Patron grabs the rope. AEP grabs an armbar out of nowhere, but Mundo gets to the ropes.
A Mundo double stomp gets a two count, and he can't believe it. Patron lands a giant superkick for the pin.
Winner: Alberto El Patron via pinfall (superkick)
El Patron celebrates as we see Catrina trying to raise Mil Muertes from the dead to close the show.
