WWE SmackDown Results (4/23): Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose Reunite, Rusev Vs. Ryback

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com SmackDown coverage. This is the go home show before Extreme Rules, but won't feature the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton or Daniel Bryan.

Seth Rollins is out with J&J Security and says he doesn't need anyone's help this Sunday, and calls Kane old. This brings the Big Red Machine out. The two go back and forth, until Kane says it's only fair that Seth Rollins lays down for him tonight.

Rollins says he doesn't want to do this, but Kane threatens him. Rollins lays down, and Kane laughs at him and says he's messing with Rollins. Kane announces Rollins will face Dean Ambrose, but Luke Harper comes out to attack Ambrose.

Ambrose fights both off for a little while, but soon it's a 4-on-1 attack. Roman Reigns makes the save and the two clear the ring. Reigns & Ambrose vs. Harper & Rollins is set for tonight.

Dolph Ziggler & Neville vs. Bad News Barrett and Sheamus

Sheamus gets control early on, but Neville sends him outside the ring with a headscissors. Barrett comes to check on him and Neville hits a big dive on both of them as we go to a commercial.

We come back to Barrett working over Neville, until a kick drops BNB. He manages to tag to Sheamus, who keeps Neville from tagging Ziggler, but eats a big enziguri of his own. Tags are made to both BNB and Ziggler.

Ziggler cleans house, planting BNB with a big DDT for two. Barrett almost gets 3 off Wasteland, and sets up for the Bull Hammer. Ziggler reverses is and ends up hitting him with the Zig Zag and Superkicking Sheamus. Neville lands Red Arrow on BNB for the win.

Winners: Dolph Ziggler & Neville via pinfall (Red Arrow)

- They show a compilation of some of the Tough Enough submissions thus far.

- We get another creepy Bray Wyatt promo, teasing his next feud.

- We see a recap of Naomi's heel turn from last week.

Natalya vs. Naomi

Natalya gains an advantage early, but Naomi turns it around and applies a chinlock. A body slam from Naomi sets up an elbow drop, but she comes up empty on a legdrop and walks into a slingshot atomic drop.

Naomi gets kicked in the face, and Natalya sets up for the Sharpshooter. Naomi slaps her in the face and hits the Rearview for the win in a two minute match.

Winner: Naomi via pinfall (Rearview)

Naomi kicks Natalya in the ribs after the match.

- The Prime Time Players run own Cesaro and Kidd in a comedic backstage promo.

- Lana and Rusev are in the ring, with Lana cutting a promo about Rusev beating down Cena with a chain. Rusev says this Sunday, John Cena won't be able to escape.

Rusev (w/ Lana) vs. Ryback

The two lock up and Ryback takes the better of it with a belly-to-back suplex. Ryback is still in control, working over the shoulder of Rusev, followed by a delayed vertical suplex. Rusev rolls out of the ring, only to get thrown right back in.

Ryback goes shoulder first into the ring post, and is sent outside the ring. Rusev follows, attacks Ryback and tosses him back into the ring as we go to our next commercial break

We come back to Ryback hitting a series of clotheslines and a belly-to-belly suplex for two. The Big Guy tries to follow up with a big splash, but eats knees. Ryback plants Rusev with a slam for 3 and sets up for the Meat Hook.

A couple of reversals ends in a Ryback spinebuster. He hits the Meat Hook clothesline, but Rusev kicks out just in time. Ryback signals for Shellshocked, but Rusev rolls out and hits Ryback with a chain.

Winner: Ryback via DQ

Rusev continues the beating after the match with the chain, He applies the Accolade with the chain.

- Rollins and J&J are backstage looking for Harper. Noble says that he and Harper are cousins via marriage, which is fantastic. Harper grabs Mercury and tells Rollins not to get in his way tonight.

Kofi Kingston (w/ New Day) vs. Cesaro (w/ Tyson Kidd)

New Day are so much better as heels. Kingston lands a dropkick early, but gets caught by a Cesaro backbreaker. A big kick and forearm from Kofi allow him to fight back, and he applies a chinlock. Cesaro goes for the swing, but sees Kidd jumped outside, and gets caught with Trouble in Paradise.

Winner: Kofi Kingston via pinfall (Trouble in Paradise)

- Big Show is shown saying he doesn't like Roman Reigns just showing up and taking his spot.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper & Seth Rollins (w/ J&J Security)

All four men make their entrances, and Kane comes out as we go to a commercial.

We come back to Ambrose hitting Harper with a dragon screw leg whip and working his leg over. A tag to Reigns changes the pace, as he clotheslines Harper to the mat. Reigns and Ambrose work Harper over in the corner.

Harper fights back and makes a tag to Rollins, but the faces take control again. Reigns hits a vertical suplex for two. Ambrose comes in and dominates Rollins until he's knocked off the top rope, which allows J&J and Harper to attack him outside before the break.

We return to Ambrose getting worked over by Rollins and Harper, trying to make a tag. Ambrose and Rollins collide, and they're both down. Harper and Reigns are tagged in and Reigns runs wild. Superman Punches to J&J and Harper, but Rollins breaks up the pin.

Ambrose hits Rollins with a big elbow and gets caught mid-suicide dive by Harper, who tosses him over the guardrail. Reigns spears Harper outside, and Superman punches Rollins. Two superkicks get a 2.9 count for Harper!

Rollins comes off the top rope with a flying knee to Reigns that gets two. Rollins buckle bombs Reigns, and Harper lands the discus clothesline, but Ambrose makes the save. Rollins and Ambrose are tagged in and Rollins eats a rebound clothesline.

Both of the heels are sent outside the ring, and then Ambrose dives onto both of them, and J&J. Kane tosses Rollins in, who walks into a spear for the pin. Awesome match.

Winners: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose via pinfall (Spear)
