Paul Heyman Talks About Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar's Re-Signing, If He'll Stay With WWE, More

Paul Heyman appeared on Between the Ropes for The Sporting News to talk about WrestleMania, and his client Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Title match. You can read highlights below, and see the full video above:

* Heyman says he was initially surprised he came back to WWE but now he's just another piece of furniture.

* He says it's easy to advocate something that you really believe in, and Brock Lesnar is easy to believe in.

* Dropping the mic is a a "top that" type of gesture. He feels he and Brock Lesnar are a unique act.

* He considers every segment he's involved in as an audition to come back the next Monday.

* Heyman found out at 5 AM on Tuesday morning that Brock Lesnar was re-signing with WWE. He said the deal got done really late Monday night. Lesnar was MMA bound, and it wasn't a secret.

* Heyman doesn't think Bellator will ever be in a position to outbid the UFC.

* Lesnar had a financial figure and provisions in mind that would have kept him with WWE.

* Heyman knew that Lesnar training to return to MMA was going to happen. He supported it because it gets you in a kind of shape that weight training can't.

* Paul Heyman said he was prepared for the alternative, but always thought Vince McMahon would come in at the eleventh hour.

* Heyman can't imagine working in WWE without Brock Lesnar and isn't sure if he would have remained with WWE if Lesnar left. He doesn't know if he could replicate what he does with Lesnar.

* He also says it's easy to advocate for CM Punk and Brock Lesnar because they were his two best friends.
