Anderson Silva Announces Fighting Future, New Bellator Champion, Conor McGregor's Bold Prediction

- Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva may still be awaiting a hearing regarding his positive drug tests, but it hasn't kept him from looking to the future. The 39-year old says he has no plans to retire in the immediate future.

"That was an offer from Dana and Lorenzo," Silva said while addressing fans in Brazil. "The only serious injury I had was on my leg now. I spoke with my team, we discussed everything and saw that it was possible. We're training now focused on fighting for five more years. I already have my schedule for the next five years. If we can fight two or three times a year, it's better."

- Bellator MMA crowned a new Bantamweight champion Friday night as challenger Marcos Galvao defeated champion Joe Warren in the second round of their title bout. Warren let out an audible scream during a Galvao kneebar, leading to the referee stopping the bout.

Warren protested the stoppage, but seemed to be the only one who thought it wasn't justified. During each fighter meeting prior to the bouts, referees let fighters know that screaming in the cage will end up being a verbal submission.

- UFC Featherweight title challenger Conor McGregor has high hopes for his championship fight with Jose Aldo this summer. While being interviewed by MMA Fighting, McGregor said he expects a $7 million purse, as well as a new UFC pay-per-view record. The current record is held by UFC 100, at an estimated 1.6 million buys.
