WWE Hall Of Famer Puts HOF Ring Up For Sale

Veteran independent wrestler Diafullah Dobashi, a close friend and protégée of WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher, opened the most recent episode of his podcast "Dobashi's Radio Takedown" with the announcement that Abdullah is interested in selling his Hall of Fame Ring. Abdullah, whose real name is Larry Shreve, was inducted in 2011.

"The legendary WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher," Dobashi began. "His WWE Hall of Fame Ring is up for sale to the highest bidder. If you're interested, e-mail me."

Abdullah has experienced a number of health problems and is reportedly in need of hip replacement surgery.

The aging grappler has drawn criticism regarding a number of issues over the course of recent years, including his repeated assertions that he was not responsible for a fellow grappler's affliction with hepatitis C?despite a Canadian court's finding to the contrary.

In 2013, Superstar Billy Graham publically asked that WWE remove his name from the Hall of Fame because he did not want to be listed with the likes of Abdullah the Butcher. He cited allegations over Abdullah's reckless behavior in the ring as the basis for his objections over Abdullah's induction.

"WWE, with its powerful influence on our vulnerable youth in these increasingly immoral times, should be strongly condemning life-threatening gimmicks in the ring, not rewarding them, and Larry Shreve needs to take stock of his actions and the tragic effects they have had on others. The world of pro wrestling is a rough and tough one, and none of us has a lily-white record when it comes to personal behavior. But carelessly spreading a deadly disease in the name of 'entertainment' is beyond a joke. So hopefully now you will all have a better understanding of exactly why I asked WWE to remove my name from the WWE Hall of Fame list when Abdullah was inducted two years ago."

Also on Dobashi's podcast, he spoke extensively with his World Powers teammate Chief Attakullakulla regarding their forthcoming wrestling schedules. You can listen to the entire episode of Dobashi's Radio Takedown at this link.
