WWE Getting A Lot Of Media Attention For Very Different Reasons

- ABC News ran the story above regarding the "concussion lawsuit" that we reported on last week. Former WWE star Vito Lograsso (Big Vito) and Evan Singleton (Adam Mercer in developmental) filed the lawsuit against WWE in the state of Pennsylvania seeking unspecified economic damages and medical monitoring.

- As noted yesterday, The Associated Press picked up on the lawsuit. The AP story is now appearing on most major news outlets, including CNN, the aforementioned New York Times, CBS News, Fortune, Reuters and many others.

- In case you missed it last night, WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt issued the following statement in response to the lawsuit:

"This lawsuit is virtually identical to one filed by the same lawyers in Oregon, neither of which have any merit. WWE has never concealed any medical information related to concussions, or otherwise, from our Talent. WWE was well ahead of sports organizations in implementing concussion management procedures and policies as a precautionary measure as the science and research on this issue emerged. We will vigorously contest this lawsuit."

- On the flip side, WWE has been getting some positive media pub for Triple H breaking character during the main event of RAW this past Monday night and consoling a young fan who began crying. The child was also taken backstage and given some free merchandise. The story was picked up by CBS News (who wrote that "one of the H's in Triple H must stand for Heart"), E!
