More New Details And Preview For WWE's Upcoming DVD & Blu-ray On The Shield

- We noted yesterday that WWE will be extending the WWE Network "Destruction of The Shield" special into a DVD and Blu-ray in 2015. The special followed Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns on their roads to SummerSlam this year.

WrestlingDVDNews.com reports that the set is scheduled to be a three-disc DVD and a two-disc Blu-ray. It will include an extended version of the original 56 minute documentary that aired on the WWE Network, as well as full length matches with The Shield as extras. There's no release date scheduled but it's expected for mid-February or March 2015. Below is the synopsis:

Follow a behind the scenes journey in the life of WWE's newest and most prolific trio The Shield, on their road to SummerSlam. They were the most dominant faction inside the ring, taking the entire WWE by storm. Now, the Hounds of Justice have disbanded, and roads now lead to SummerSlam.
