Dana White On Who Will Fight Jon Jones Next, New UFC 178 Co-Main Event, UFN Weigh-In Results

- UFC president Dana White has given his thoughts on the light heavyweight title picture, and it remains crystal clear for Daniel Cormier. White, in an interview with UFC.com, reiterated that "DC" will be the one to challenge Jon Jones this January at UFC 182 for the title.

Alexander Gustafsson, the original opponent for Jones before both suffered injuries, was pleading to be re-inserted into the title fight after "Bones" was forced to the sidelines due to knee surgery.

"Gustafsson is upset, but it's not like we took Gustafsson out of the fight," White said. "Gustafsson got hurt and he's out. Cormier stepped in and accepted the fight and this is the fight that is going to happen now."

White mentioned that, despite Gustafsson not wanting to compete again before getting his championship rematch, a bout with fellow contender Anthony Johnson could be booked.

- Donald Cerrone will compete once again this year, taking on Bobby Green in the co-main event of UFC 178. The promotion added the bout recently to the September 27 card that features Demetrious Johnson defending his flyweight title against Chris Cariaso.

Cerrone (24-6) has already won three fights in 2014 and is riding a four-fight win streak overall. His opponent, Green, is 23-5 overall and on a four-fight UFC win streak of his own.

The move to pair Cerrone with Green left Jorge Masvidal without an opponent. Officials signed Masvidal to meet James Krause.
