UFC Heavyweight States He's Been Cut, Dana White Responds, UFC Fighter Retires

- UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt remains scheduled for a September meeting with Roy Nelson in Japan, but someone might want to make sure "The Super Samoan" is aware of that. Recently, Hunt posted on Twitter that he was "unemployed" and that it "sucks."

"Not my choice guys but going from being (excited) at the prospects of the future of fighting to being unemployed in a day lol this sucks," he wrote.

UFC president Dana White responded to fans asking what was going on, writing that "Hell NO" Hunt had not been cut and that it was "false" that he was unemployed. Nelson even chimed in, posting that he is "Still fighting Sept 20 because if not I will be pi$$ed that I got dressed up for nothing."

Hunt last fought in December, going the full 25 minutes with Antonio Silva. The fight was declared a draw, and remained that way even after Silva failed the post-fight drug test.

- Mark Bocek, who has shared the cage with former champions Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar, has announced his retirement from MMA. The 32-year-old posted a 12-5 career record that includes eight wins inside the Octagon.

Bocek fought in April of this year, defeating Mike De La Torre. He earned a pair of "Submission of the Night" honors, and strung together three consecutive rear-naked choke wins earlier in his career.
