UFC Title Fight Rescheduled, Gina Carano Update, UFC On FOX 12 Highlights

- Most experts believed the UFC on FOX 12 main event between Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown would end early. In fact, during the telecast, Joe Rogan stated they were using "false advertisement" by saying it was a five-round welterweight main event.

Well, Lawler and Brown did go the distance, with "Ruthless" coming out on top. Lawler earned a rematch with Johny Hendricks for the title, and you can see the highlights from Saturday's fight in the video above.

- Chad Mendes will get his shot at taking down Jose Aldo, but he'll have to do it in Brazil. UFC president Dana White announced that the featherweight championship bout has been rescheduled for UFC 179. That card takes place October 25 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Mendes (16-1) was expected to face Aldo (24-1) this coming weekend from Los Angeles, but the champion suffered an injury in training that knocked him out. The promotion decided to cancel the card completely, as no suitable main event could be found on short notice.

Back in 2012, Aldo handed Mendes his lone career loss, knocking him out – in Rio – with just a second left in the first round.

- Gina Carano-to-the-UFC appears to have hit a few road blocks, according to UFC president Dana White. The boss was asked about bringing the former Strikeforce fighter into the promotion, and responded with a glass-half-full approach.

"It's complicated," White said, during the UFC on FOX 12 post-fight press conference. "I'm very positive, but it's complicated. I'm still working on it."

Reports state there are problems in getting Carano's manager on board with a fight schedule and continuing her acting career. Carano hasn't fought since a 2009 loss to Cris Cyborg, appearing in movies such as In the Blood, Fast and Furious 6 and Haywire since.
