Nick Diaz Signs New Fight Contract With UFC, Weigh-In Results For UFC On FOX 12

- Nick Diaz is coming back to the UFC, as the former No. 1 contender signed a new three-fight deal with the promotion recently. Diaz has not fought since a 2013 decision loss to Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title.

Diaz, who turns 30 years old in August, announced his retirement – again – following the defeat. He has lost his last two, also falling via decision to Carlos Condit. Diaz is a former Strikeforce welterweight champion.

"I've been getting some things done," said Diaz, in an interview with UFC.com after signing his new contract. "I've been staying in shape pretty good, doing a lot of running. It's been a good experience having this much time off. I can fight tomorrow, tonight."

- UFC on FOX 12 is now official, as weigh-ins went down earlier today. In the main event, welterweight contenders Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown meet to determine the No. 1 contender to the title.

Lawler weighed in at 171 pounds, while Brown hit the scale at 172.5. The co-main event boasts Anthony Johnson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Brown came in a pound-and-a-half over and will need to get down to 171 or give away 20-percent of his purse.
