WWE Smackdown Recap With Video: Randy Orton Vs. Christian, Daniel Bryan Calls Out Kane, More

Tonight's episode of Smackdown opens with Daniel Bryan coming down to the ring. Michael Cole and JBL are on commentary.

Bryan picks up a mic and says that on RAW the authority said they might make him the face of the WWE if he could beat Orton. He says he doesn't want to be the face; he just wants to be him. When he beat Orton, the authority showed their true colors because of Kane's interference. Then, footage is shown of Kane interfering in Orton vs. Bryan.

Bryan says that he's stayed out of Kane's way since he aligned with the authority, but not anymore. He calls out Kane. Kane comes out with a mic. He starts talking from the ramp, and Bryan says he can't hear him over the crowd. He asks Kane to come down to the ring. Kane apologizes for his actions on RAW on behalf of the authority. Bryan asks what the hell Kane is talking about. He says Kane is the devil's favorite demon, and brings up their past and hugging it out. Bryan asks what happened to that Kane.

Bryan says that Kane helped him and was his friend. Unfortunately, Kane has embraced the authority. Bryan says that he speaks for the entire WWE Universe when he says to get rid of his tie, get his mask back, and get rid of the stupid corporate Kane.

Kane says that Bryan is right, they have history, but that's all it is. He's glad that his Team Hell No days are over. He and Bryan are not friends, and they never were friends. You can either make friends or money, and he is well off.

Bryan says that he has lots of friends in the arena, and since they're not friends, Kane should come down to the ring and settle things like two men that aren't friends. Kane says no, and says that he has scheduled Bryan in a match against Antonio Cesaro instead. Kane wishes him good luck, and leaves.

Then, Michael Cole talks about the rules for the Elimination Chamber match.

The Shield comes down through the crowd for a match.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns (with Seth Rollins) vs. Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler

Rollins gets on commentary for the match. Kofi and Ambrose start off. Ambrose takes Kofi to the mat. He works on Kofi's arm. Kofi reverses and trips Ambrose. Ziggler tags in. He and Kofi double team Ambrose. Ambrose kicks Ziggler in the stomach. He hits Ziggler with a shoulder tackle. Ziggler lands a shot to the head. He drops 10 elbows on Ambrose. Ambrose backs Ziggler to his corner. Reigns tags in. He hits Ziggler with a big strike to the face, and chokes him on the bottom rope. Ambrose tags in and kicks Ziggler in the side. He stomps on Ziggler's fingers. Ziggler comes back with a dropkick.

Kofi tags in. He kicks Reigns off the apron and knocks Ambrose down. Kofi hits a dropkick. Ambrose drapes Kofi over the ropes and tags in Reigns. Kofi's head gets hung through the ropes, and Reigns dropkicks it as things go to commercial. Back from commercial and Ambrose is in control of Kofi. He suplexes Kofi and gets a two count. Ambrose knees Kofi in the stomach, and then strikes him in the corner. He sets Kofi up top and climbs up. Kofi hits Ambrose off, and then leaps off with a crossbody. Kofi kicks Ambrose in the head. Reigns and Ziggler tag in.

Ziggler hits a dropkick. He leaps at Reigns in the corner and hits 10 punches. Ziggler lands a neckbreaker and goes for the famouser. Reigns counters and slams Ziggler to the mat. Reigns signals for the superman punch. Ambrose looks like he is going to tag himself in, but Reigns catches him. Kofi pulls Ambrose down, and they brawl on the outside. Ziggler hits Reigns with a DDT. Reigns kicks out of the pin attempts and hits the superman punch. Reigns lands his spear and tags in Ambrose. Ambrose pins Ziggler for the win.

Winners: The Shield

The Wyatt Family appears on the screen after the match. Bray calls them fools for bickering. The Wyatts cut one of their usual promos.

Then, Sheamus is shown walking backstage as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Sheamus makes his entrance.

Sheamus vs. Ryback (with Curtis Axel)

They lock up and shove each other around. Sheamus locks in a side headlock. Sheamus knocks Ryback down. Axel grabs Sheamus's feet. Sheamus picks Ryback up on his shoulder and slams him to the mat. He goes outside and Brogue kicks Axel. Sheamus gets up on the apron and rams his shoulder into Ryback's guts. Sheamus clubs Ryback in the chest four times. Ryback pulls Sheamus inside. He hits Sheamus with a clothesline in the corner. Ryback chokes Sheamus with his boot. Ryback lands a bodyslam and a splash. He locks in Sheamus's arm.

Sheamus fights out with headbutts, but Ryback mounts more offense. Ryback goes up top. He leaps off for a splash, and Sheamus rolls out of the way. Sheamus hits a back elbow. He punches Ryback in the face several times. Sheamus goes for a knee, but Ryback moves. Sheamus slams Ryback to the mat. He signals for the Brogue kick. Ryback catches Sheamus and hits a powerbomb. Ryback signals for the meat hook clothesline. He charges Sheamus, and Sheamus hits the Brogue kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

Back from commercial and a preview of Legends' House on the WWE Network is shown.

Then, Renee Young is backstage with Alberto Del Rio. Young brings up footage of the encounter between Del Rio and Batista on RAW. She asks why Del Rio is antagonizing Batista. Del Rio says he knows how to tame animals like Batista, and he is going to make him drink milk from a saucer.

Antonio Cesaro (with Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger) vs. Daniel Bryan

The two chain wrestle. Cesaro hits a chop in the corner. Bryan reverses and hits several kicks. He knees Cesaro in the mid section. Cesaro comes back with an uppercut. Bryan lands kicks to the chest. Cesaro slams him to the mat. Cesaro hits a shoulder tackle. Bryan lands a hip toss and locks in Cesaro's arm. Cesaro powers Bryan up and slams him back first to the mat to break the hold. Cesaro shoves Bryan into the corner and hits body shots. Cesaro lands a vertical Suplex. He locks in Bryan's head from behind.

Bryan comes back with a flying clothesline. Bryan hits a running dropkick in the corner. He sets Cesaro up top and head scissors him off. Bryan kicks Cesaro repeatedly in the chest. Cesaro ducks a head kick attempt and rolls Bryan up. Bryan tries to lock in the Yes lock, but Cesaro counters into a backbreaker as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Cesaro hits a running uppercut. Bryan battles back with headshots. Cesaro lands a big boot to the head. He charges Bryan. Bryan pulls the ropes down, and Cesaro crashes outside. Bryan goes for a running knee from the apron, but Cesaro moves and Bryan hits Swagger. Cesaro lunges at Bryan. Bryan moves, and Cesaro hits the barrier. Bryan tosses Cesaro back inside and goes up top. He leaps off, and Cesaro hits an uppercut. Cesaro goes for the Cesaro swing, but Bryan grabs the ropes. He rolls up Cesaro. Cesaro kicks out and hits a clothesline. Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer, but Bryan counters out. He locks Cesaro in the Yes lock. Cesaro taps.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Kane comes out after the match. Bryan stares at him. Cesaro attacks Bryan from behind and hits the Neutralizer. Kane gets in the ring. He picks Bryan up and hits him with a chokeslam. Kane does his ring corner pyro and stands over Bryan.

Then, Renee Young is backstage with Randy Orton. She asks Randy about his thoughts on having to face the entrants in the Elimination Chamber match. Orton says he isn't going to talk about his professional relationship with the authority. He says that Bryan beating him was a fluke, and he is going to beat everyone else in the match and remain the greatest superstar of this generation.

AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka then come down to the ring.

Back from commercial and the video for Ernie Ladd is shown. Then, a video for Alexander Rusev is shown.

AJ Lee (with Tamina Snuka) vs. Nikki Bella (with Brie Bella)

Lee locks in a side headlock. Nikki shoves her off. Nikki tosses Lee into the corner and lands a body slam. She whips Lee into the corner and charges. Lee moves, and locks in Nikki's head from behind with a body scissors. Nikki sinks to the mat. She backs Lee into the corner to break the hold. Lee kicks Nikki in the back. Nikki counters out of a neckbreaker attempt. She hits Lee with a clothesline. Nikki tosses Lee behind her. Tamina gets up on the apron in an attempt to distract Nikki. Brie attacks Tamina. Lee shoves Nikki to the ropes and she hits Brie. Lee locks in Black Widow off the distraction. Nikki taps.

Winner: AJ Lee

Then, Titus O'Neil's betrayal of Darren Young is recapped. He is then shown backstage, and says he is going to grant Renee Young an exclusive interview. Young starts asking about why O'Neil attacked Darren, and O'Neil talks trash on Darren. He says moving forward he is going to carry championship gold. He thanks Young for the interview, and Darren attacks him. He beats O'Neil down, and a bunch of refs come to break them up.

Back from commercial and Goldust and Cody Rhodes are waiting in the ring.

Goldust (with Cody Rhodes) vs. Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan)

They circle around each other. Goldust takes Bray to the mat. Bray slaps Goldust in the face. He charges Goldust in the corner, and Goldust moves. Goldust lands headshots. Bray knocks Goldust down. Goldust hangs over the apron. Bray goes outside and attacks Goldust's head. He gets back inside and stomps Goldust in the chest. Bray clamps down on Goldust's shoulder. Goldust fights out. He hits Bray with a back elbow. Goldust kicks Bray in the stomach and punches him in the face. He mounts Bray in the corner and hits multiple punches. Goldust goes up top and head scissors Bray. He hits Bray with a Spinebuster. Bray rolls outside. Goldust takes Bray out and rolls Bray back inside. Harper and Rowan attack Cody on the outside. Bray attacks Goldust off the distraction and hits Sister Abigail for the win.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

The Shield appears on the screen. Ambrose tells the Wyatts to watch themselves. When they get them in the ring at Elimination Chamber, they will own them. Rollins says they're not afraid of them, and will scrape their beards off the bottom of their boots. Roman says that they know how to make them understand. Ambrose says it's time for justice. Believe in the Shield.

Back from commercial and Christian makes his entrance.

Christian vs. Randy Orton

Orton locks in a side headlock. He shoulder tackles Christian. Christian knocks Orton down. Orton kicks Christian in the stomach. He clubs Christian in the chest. Christian tosses Orton outside and kicks him through the ropes. He leaps over the ropes to take Orton out, and Orton moves. Orton sends Christian inside. He charges Christian, and Christian puts an elbow up. He backdrops Orton outside. Christian goes up top and leaps off, taking Orton out as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Christian trips Orton to the mat. He pulls Orton's legs out like he is going to crotch him on the ring post, but Orton pulls Christian face first into the post. Orton drops Christian back first onto the barrier. He sends Christian back inside. Orton stomps on Christian's leg, and then on his chest. He power whips Christian into the corner. Orton taunts the crowd, and then approaches Christian. Christian hits a right hand. Christian charges, and Orton lands a dropkick.

Orton locks in Christian's head from behind. Christian fights out. They exchange strikes. Christian comes out on top. He mounts Orton in the corner and hits punches to the head. Orton comes back with a clothesline. Christian snaps Orton's head across the top rope. He goes up top and hits Orton with a crossbody. Christian goes up again and hits a back elbow to the jaw. Orton lands his signature powerslam. He tosses Christian into the ring post. Christian counters out of Orton's draping DDT. He goes up top and leaps off for a frog splash, but Orton rolls out of the way. Orton successfully hits his draping DDT. He signals for the RKO. Orton counters into a backslide. Orton kicks out. Christian goes for the killswitch, but Orton shoves him off. Christian goes up top and leaps off. Orton catches him with the RKO in midair for the win.
