WWE Live Event Results From Las Cruces (8/24): CM Punk Pays Tribute To Eddie Guerrero

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Adrian Telas for sending in these results from last night's WWE live event in Las Cruces, NM:

The show was not a complete a sell out as there were many seats available for the show. I believe that its time WWE Raw or Smackdown do a live TV show for El Paso or Las Cruces as people are tired of live events.

* Prime Time Players defeated 3MB. PTP came out to a nice pop and played the role of baby faces. Great match to get things started

* The Great Khali defeated Hunico in a squash match. Hunico got a nice pop as he is from down the road from El Paso Texas.

* Fans Choice: Natalya and Kaitlyn defeated WWE Divas Champ AJ and Layla. This match was first scheduled to be a dance off but AJ attacked Kaitlyn. The finisher saw Natalya give the sharp shooter to Layla and Kaitlyn spear AJ.

* Ryback defeated Kofi Kingston. This was a solid match between the two.

* Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow. After the match, Cody did a cartwheel on the top of the stage

* Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston. Funny spot came at the beginning as a fan had a poster that read "Big E needs to wear Pants." I flashed to Big E my 5 month old daughter pants which got the crowd and Dolph fired up but Big E very mad. Awesome moment for me!

* WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian in a great match. Del Rio came out to a great ovation. He tried to play heel, but the crowd was way over him.

* CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman). After this great match, CM Punk got on the mic (a great pipe bomb) and said a few words about Eddie Guerrero. Hey noted how every time he comes to this region of the US, he can't stop but think about how this is Eddie Guerrero Country. The crowd chanted "Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie's to end the show.

Biggest Pops:
1. CM Punk
2. Alberto del Rio
3. Dolph Ziggler / Kofi Kingston

Biggest Heat:
1. Damien Sandow
2. Big E
3. 3MB

Overall this was a great show by far with solid matches. Come on WWE, its time we get a live televised show! I have always said El Paso Texas would be a perfect fit for SummerSlam in the Sun Bowl.
