? As noted earlier, on Sunday, July 6, 2008, Mickie Knuckles broke her femur in her right leg after a botched attempt to dive off a platform onto opponent Sara Del Rey during the main event at an IWA Mid-South show in Joliet, Illinois. The rest of the event was canceled following her injury. Mickie underwent surgery the very next day, although the operation took longer than expected due to the "muscle mass" in her leg according to doctors. Doctors successfully placed a titanium rod in the leg to hold the bones in place while it heals. Knuckles is expected to miss six months of in-ring action, but she said she hopes to be back in three. Anyway, the IWA-MS family is trying to raise money to pay for Knuckles' very expensive hospital bills following the operation as apparently, she doesn't have any insurance. IWA-MS plans on holding a show on Sunday afternoon, August 17th at the very same rec center in which she broke her femur, the Hartman Rec Center in Joliet, Illinois. According to a person who attended an IWA-MS show this past Saturday, they need to raise $27,000 to pay off her hospital bills.
