The opening video for the show featured a lengthy promo for Jericho - Cena. No other matches were featured in the opening video.

Jim Ross and Tazz opened the show talking about Jeff Hardy being found unconscious and how AOL and TMZ reported on it. Suckers. They said that Hardy is here in the building but aren't sure if he'll perform tonight.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Michaels (Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali & Cryme Tyme) vs. Team JBL (JBL, Kane, MVP, The Miz & John Morrison)

Jim Ross noted that this is the 17th Survivor Series for Shawn Michaels, more than any other WWE superstar in history. All the announce teams for the 3 brands are doing commentary, which may be a clusterf***.

Mysterio started the match with MVP. Shortly after, MVP scored the first fall by pinning JTG. Khali got in the ring and chopped MVP to eliminate him. Kane got in the ring next and went toe to toe with Khali with Khali getting the better of Kane. The crowd started a loud "Khali" chant, which is something I never heard before. Khali tagged Mysterio, who stood on Khali's shoulders and splashed Kane to eliminate the Big Red Machine.

So far the announcing has been good considering the number of people involved. The Miz got the next elimination hitting the reality check on Shad Gaspard. I'd suspect that Cryme Tyme is in the doghouse right now, but I'm not certain on that. We'll try to have more on that this week.

Shawn Michaels then got in the ring for the first time with The Miz. Michaels stayed in the ring for awhile before tagging in Mysterio. Mysterio hit a 619 and a splash from the top on the Miz to pin and eliminate him.

JBL was in next and worked over Mysterio with a shoulderblock and some big elbows, but Mysterio kicked out. Loud "You Can't Wrestle" chants for JBL, which are usually reserved for Khali. JBL and Morrison continued to punish Mysterio, wit Mysterio playing Ricky Morton before tagging in HBK. He brawled with JBL and the two hought outside the ring and HBK got back in right before the 10 count, so JBL is eliminated. Morrison was in the ring waiting for HBK with a superkick, but Michaels ducked and hit his own to pin Morrison and win the match for his team.
