Career Threatening Match
- U.S. Champion MVP vs. Ric Flair
Flair cut a promo at the beginning of the match talking about how much he loved wrestling at the Garden.
Pretty slow match to start. At one point MVP hit Flair with a kick to the head and covered Flair and the ref counted three right after Flair had put his foot on the ropes. The ref saw it, and the match continued.
The finish of the match saw Flair submit MVP clean with a figure four leglock.
Winner via submission: Ric Flair
There was a backstage segment with Vince McMahon telling Hornswoggle that he can't trust anyone, including Finlay. Finlay came in and left with Hornswoggle.
Jim Ross welcomed Moke Adamle to the WWE broadcase team and Adamle talked about how he saw Flair wrestle at MSG in the 70s. He then introduced the JBL vs. Chris Jericho match.
Chris Jericho vs. JBL
Jericho entered the ring first, followed by JBL. They brawled early on, with Jericho getting the better of JBL. Jericho put the Wall of Jericho on JBL, but JBL got to the ropes.
JBL later gained control with a series of clotheslines. Nothing special so far in the match and the crowd is a little subdued. JBL continued to dominate and busted Jericho's head up.
The finish of the match saw Jericho hit JBL with a chair for the DQ. Jericho then choked JBL out with a cord. Fans got behind Jericho at this point and chanted "Y2J".
Winner via DQ: JBL
Backstage Ashley went to Maria's dressing room, but Santino Marella came out. Marella said Maria was getting ready for coming out to the ring later and wasn't interested in her "boobie magazine".
A promo for WrestleMania aired.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Edge (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
Edge entered the ring first and then Teddy Long wheeled Vickie Guerrero to ringside. Ryder and Hawkins followed and then Teddy Long headed back to the dressing room. Mysterio then came to the ring with a gladiator helmet with small spikes sticking out of it over his mask. Mysterio took the helmet off before the match started.
Mysterio got a surprisingly large amount of boos during the ring introductions, and Edge got about as many cheers as boos when he was introduced. As the match went on, the crowd got more behind Edge and booed Mysterio more with the crowd chanting "Let's Go Edge" several times.
