Winner via countout: The Undertaker, the World Heavyweight Title Remains Vacant
A backstage promo was shown with Randy Orton. Orton said Triple H never taught him a thing when they were in Evolution because he knew this day would come.
MVP started to make his way to the ring. MVP noted that he was slighted being left off the card and demanded a match. He challenged anyone from the back and Matt Hardy's music hit. Hardy came out and said he's already proven that he's better than MVP, so he introduced Jeff Hardy. Thankfully, I think that also means that Mark Henry vs. The Big Show if off the show.
MVP vs. Jeff Hardy
The two went back and forth early on. A few minutes into the match MVP gained the advantage and started working over Hardy's arm. He continued to work over Hardy's arm for several minutes and then hit a big kick to Hardy's arm, knocking Hardy out of the ring.
After dominating for a few more minutes, Hardy was able to reverse a playmaker and gain the advantage. He missed the swanton and MVP went to hit a kick again, but Jeff countered it and hit a whisper in the wind to get the three count. Not a bad match, but nothing special.
Winner via pinfall: Jeff Hardy
William Regal was shown frowning again in the crowd. A promo was then shown for Rambo with comments from Sylvester Stallone.
WWE Championship - Steel Cage Match
Triple H (c) vs. Randy Orton.
Randy Orton entered the cage first, followed by Triple H. Orton tried to quickly escape, but was stopped. Orton then rammed the cage door into Triple H's head to get the early advantage.
The match went back and forth for awhile. At one point Triple H got the steel chair, but before he could hit Orton with it Orton nailed The Game with a low blow. Orton then hit Triple H with the chair across the back and then DDT'd Triple H onto the chair for a two count. Orton then setup the chair and went to hit the RKO onto the chair, but Triple H pushed him off into the cage and dropped Orton into the chair face first with a drop toehold. He covered Orton for a two count.
Orton got up first and went to climb out of the cage, but Triple H caught him, slammed him into the cage and Orton fell off. While Triple H was climbing out, Orton quicklt got up and stopped him and knocked him back into the ring with a right hand. He then tried climbing out again, but was again stopped by HHH. HHH then tried a pedigree from the top rope, but Orton stopped it and tried to escape again. He climbed to the top and started to drop to the floor when HHH caught him again brought him back into the cage.
Back in the cage, HHH hit Orton with a spinebuster, and went for a pedigree on the chair, but Orton reversed it and dropped HHH on the chair. Orton then went to hit Triple H with a big kick but missed, Triple H hit Orton with the chair and then the pedigree and got the pin.
Winner via pinfall: Triple H
