A video package aired highlighting the featured matches on tonight's show. Jim Ross and
Jerry Lawler opened the show at ringside as JBL began to make his way to the ring.
JBL vs. John Cena
JBL came to the ring first in his limo followed by Cena to a positive reaction. Jim Ross noted that Cena is 4-0 at Judgment Day. The match went back and forth at the beginning before JBL got the advantage. JBL threw Cena shoulder first into the turnbuckle and then he started working on Cena's shoulder.
JBL continued to work on Cena's shoulder for several minutes until Cena hit several clotheslines to regain the advantage. Cena went to the top to hit a flying tackle but missed, allowing JBL to regain the advantage.
JBL continued to dominate the match for several minutes. JBL then got Cena in a body scissors for awhile. Cena was able to stand up, turning it into a full nelson. Cena was finally able to power out and attempted an FU on JBL, but his shoulder gave out allowing JBL to regain the advantage again.
JBL continued to work over Cena with punches and elbows. JBL has pretty much dominated the entire match, leading me to believe that Cena's going over. JBL just hit Cena with another big clothesline. Just as I wrote that, JBL went for another big clothesline that Cena ducked and turned it into an FU on JBL and the pin.
Winner: John Cena By Pinfall
King Regal is shown in a luxury box frowning as Cena made his way to the back. A promo was then shown for 'The Dirt Sheet', the show that the Miz and John Morrison have on WWE.com.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
John Morrison & The Miz (c's) vs. ECW Champion Kane & CM Punk.
Kane and CM Punk were introduced first, with Kane being cheered and Punk getting a surprising amount of boos. Morrison and Miz were introduced next to a chorus of boos.
Kane and Punk dominated the match early with Kane's power moves and some good double team moves from Kane and Punk. Punk then applied a bunch of submission moved on Morrison before Morrison poked Punk in the eye to gain the advantage.
The two teams continued to go back and forth before Morrison hit a neckbreaker on CM Punk to get the pin. A good, fast paced match even though it could have been a little longer. Punk must have heat with someone with the number of jobs he's been doing lately.
Winners: John Morrison & The Miz
A promo for Rambo appeared next. A promo then aired previewing Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho which is up next.
