» Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler has been nominated for Best Picture in the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards. The other nominees are Ballast, Frozen River, Rachel Getting Married, and Wendy and Lucy. The awards will air on IFC on 2/21. Following that up, Mickey Rourke was nominated for best actor while Maryse Alberti was nominated for the film's cinematography. The Wrestler opens in the US on December 17th.

» According to Nielson Media Research data, this week's edition of Raw drew a 3.4 cable rating. This is up from last week's 3.3 rating which is said to have pleased WWE officials. The first hour of the show drew a 3.3 while the second drew a 3.5. This is the highest rated edition of Raw since early August.
