Nick Dinsmore (a/k/a Eugene) tested positive for painkillers and apparently his prescription had expired, or he came up with no medical justification for the test result. This made the second time he had failed a test, as he was sent to rehab after failing a test just days after the death of Eddy Guerrero.

Dinsmore arrived at the September 1st SmackDown taping in Cincinnati, Ohio, was informed of his release, and was escorted out of the US Bank Arena by security. That night, before the tapings, Stephanie McMahon headed a company meeting announcing the new changes in the Wellness policy.
